Alba Global Group shpk ("we") operates Segmenta and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@albaglobal.com.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, login credentials, sign-in provider) — to create and secure your account (contract performance).
• Content (uploaded documents, translations, memories, glossaries, style guides, edits) — to provide the Service (contract performance).
• Collaboration data (invited linguists' emails, notes) — to run project reviews (contract performance).
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, pages visited, engine usage) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the product (legitimate interests).
• Support messages — to answer requests (legitimate interests).
• Saved API keys for your own AI providers — used only to make calls on your behalf.

We do not use your documents or memories to train AI models.

Who we share data with

• Service providers: hosting and database, machine translation and AI providers that process text you submit, and analytics (Google Analytics).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside Albania and the EEA. Where this happens we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep account data and content while your account is active and delete or anonymise it within 90 days after closure, unless the law requires longer retention.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the Albanian Information and Data Protection Commissioner or your local supervisory authority. We respond within one month. Write to info@albaglobal.com.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections, access controls and per-account data isolation.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
